Hello, I was standing by my car with the door open and my legs against the floor board. The wind caught the door and slammed it against my legs and my left leg hot the bottom rail of the car, hurt really bad then but went away. Well I just noticed some pain in my lower leg so I looked and there is a nice size sent from where my leg hot the car. Only hurts in that spot. Should I be worried?
It looks like you have no swelling or bone injury. You can apply ointment Thrombophob (Heparin) to prevent blood clot formation in the arteries or veins.
Take Acetaminophen (Tylenol) or Naproxen/NSAIDs for relief from pain. Do not massage. If you get any swelling you should see a PCP. Take care.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K,
General & Family Physician
